VIDEO PROJECT PROPOSAL

Intro

This proposal is for a promotional video made for the city of Sedalia to show the amazing things that it has to offer travellers in the midwest and beyond.

The video will highlight both the history of the city as well as the exciting new additions that make it a joy to experience for any traveler that passes through. This promo will really help attract families, couples, and lovers of midwestern history at large.

While watching the promo, viewers will begin to understand the true historic value Sedalia has, and will be urged to experience the culture of the city, both the new and the old. The authentic character of the city will be shown, from the beautiful fairgrounds, the cozy downtown, and the rocky cliffs of Bothwell lodge.

My COMMITMENT

  • Hi, I’m Austin! The guy who wrote this whole thing. This project will get the entirety of my creative passion poured into it. With over 6 years of intensive videography experience in my career, both in the fields of Alaska and in industry standard production spaces, my consistent goal is to deliver on all angles with professional and inspiring media content.

  • I really got my start in media while going to Smith-Cotton High School, discovering the beauty of filmmaking while taking part in the school robotics team, Team SCREAM. The city has countless memories for me, and is very close to my heart. It is for this reason I want to use my skillsets to give value back to the city that has been so good to me, and do it in the best way possible that lives up to the wonderful history and future prospects for Sedalia.

walk the talk

Talk can only go so far with commercials, because the proof is in the visuals. Below is a video made for Stonewood Lodge in Lake Clark National Park, Alaska. It’s a prime example of what a scripted commercial paired with beautiful visuals can do to present a place in the best light possible. Something similar to show off Sedalia, it’s culture, and local businesses would go a long way to expanding upon tourism and ensuring that the city offerings are well known to all who come through it.

the edit

The editing process is the most important part to crafting any story, and so it gets a large amount of time and attention poured into it. Selecting the best clips and ensuring that the video subject is being properly presented is a fun but arduous process, but it’s all worth it to document the story in the best light possible, ensuring marketing materials and tourism for years to come.
